Red Feral Cat at the Farm by Tsisqua-Ugidali Red Feral Cat at the Farm by Tsisqua-Ugidali
Red is a feral cat that showed up at the farm about 6 or 8 months ago.  Didn't take me long to get him to come to me, and show up for dinner each day.  Had to scruff him first.  After that I became momma.  Has beautiful personality and quite photogenic when he decides to show up.  My son took this shot.  I just love and feed him.

Oh, Red is a beautiful cat, very photogenic indeed. :D (Big Grin)
This reminds me of a stray cat that lives near the college I went, it's a black and white cat and everybody was a bit afraid of him because he is huge and has a rather angry expression. (I actually call him Grumpy) He would hiss at me and run when I got too close and yet I greeted him every morning before classes. I think a few months passed by and then one day I was just sitting on a bench at the garden where he usually stays and as soon as he saw me there the cat literally ran up to me and sat by side purring like there was no tomorrow. Turns out that Grumpy is actually a really nice and gentle cat. Meow :3

Good for you.  Proud of another feral cat lover.  You have to do exactly what you did.  It take time.  I have one Black and White, very fluffy cat at the farm that took me 3.5 years to touch.  Not pet, just touch.  Now almost 6 years later we are best friends.  I can pick her up for short periods of time.  I brush her and take care of her just like she was my own.  I feed her once a day with wet food.  Not a day goes by that I don't drive the 7 miles to go feed her, Red and Mitzi.  Without it they would starve.  I am proud of you.  You have the gift of patience.  Bless you for that.

Indeed, patience and respect are the keys to earn the trust of cat, especially the feral ones. Also, I'm happy to know that Red and the others have someone like you with such a kind good heart taking care of them. :D (Big Grin)
