Fossil and Bone

A lot of the fossils we find are encased in sedimentary rock.  There are lots of bone fragments everywhere we looked.  Amazingly enough, the opportunity to take these photographs yielded more than we thought.  When we blew these images up, we found crystals and calcite, iron oxide, shale and all encased in these kinds of rock.  Looks kind of funny to see a fossil of a plant right next to the fossilized bone of some kind of animal right next too it.  These are fun to travel too, your time goes fast, and you find more than you think you might.  I guess you could say it's an adventure every time we go.
